Wednesday, September 3, 2008 Column 330 Please help this dart player's child!
As a fundraising consultant by vocation and irreverent darts fanatic by avocation I couldn’t help but consider the following appeal sent to me by a friend. ___________________________________________________________________________
Dear Friend:
I'm going to be taking part in a charity bike ride in February 2009 to raise funds for Mute Tourette’s Syndrome. One of my dart league buddies has a six-year-old old son who suffers from this terrible affliction and I am raising funds to help pay for a year's therapy. The ride will be over 200 kilometers and I am looking for small donations per kilometer.
Mute Tourette's Syndrome has long been in the shadow of its more famous sister-disease, Tourette’s Syndrome, and although much rarer, is even more tragic in its consequences. As I understand it, while a child suffering from Tourette’s has difficulty in containing anger and frustration, children with Mute Tourette’s suffer a worse fate as they are unable to express their true feelings.
The Mute Tourette’s Foundation (MTF) is using radical new art and craft therapy techniques to help combat the frustration and loneliness of Mute Tourette’s children. However, its work can only continue with your help.
Just $2 will keep a child supplied with crayons and paper for a whole day. $10 will provide them with enough art supplies for a week. I would be extremely grateful if you were able to help such a deserving cause.
Below is a picture to demonstrate how the donations received so far have been put to good use. You will no doubt agree that if results like this can be achieved there is much hope to eventually finding a cure for this horrific condition. Will you please help by making a donation? Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Kind regards and thank you in advance.

Important! Why do I have to do this?
You have 32 points left and to win you must beat your opponent to zero. But you MUST hit a double to get to zero exactly, or risk losing your opportunity at the win.
What do you need to aim for? Double 1 Double 2 Double 3 Double 4 Double 5 Double 6 Double 7 Double 8 Double 9 Double 10 Double 11 Double 12 Double 13 Double 14 Double 15 Double 16 Double 17 Double 18 Double 19 Double 20 Double Bull
